Sling/Lifting strap

A sling or lifting strap is usually needed to attach the winch and/or the block or pulley to an anchor point, such as a tree, stanchion, vehicle or something similar that can withstand the force from the winch and/or the block or pulley.

Using a sling correctly – and safely, requires the proper training and experience. Safety first – always!

A sling used in advanced felling situations should be of good quality and requisite strength. Always consider the working load limit (WLL) relative to the winch used, and the decrease of strength that appears in the sling in different set ups.
